Ippudo Ramen and Eggs and Berries @ Westgate

Another outing with the relative LOL
Cant remember when was it.
Anyways this is da must-try Ippudo Ramen
I remember the first time I had this Ramen was back in Malaysia, they have an outlet in Pavillion and my friends said that their ramen was the best.
I spent around RM30 for one bowl of ramen and thought it was so expensive, but of course the taste was worth it.

Now in Singapore, Ippudo Ramen turns out to be one of the mid-range affordable luxury item I can have LOL Love the delicious noodles with awesome flavored broth.

Shiromaru Tamago (Classic) -- SGD17
Love the broth la really, and lots of spring onions to bring out the refreshing taste.

Akamaru Shinaji (Modern) -- SGD15
Thanks to sheauwen, I had double serving of Cha-Su omgggg
the Cha-su is just awesome laaaaa, tender and slightly chewy. The moment you bite into it, the flavors of pork (and lard) just comes out.
My ramen has a richer taste compared to the previous one due to the addition of super fragrant miso and garlic. Still love it :D

Soft Serve Ice Cream with cornflakes!
A treat by a friend, thanks so much!!

Can't wait to go back there again, really delicious
Hope to bring my mom and dad to Ippudo some day
Omg can't wait to go home!!!

anyways moving on...
our next food stop
Decided to have a short yumcha session at the bright and colorful Eggs and Berries
The place look very warm and fun, tones of blue and pink
Well obviously as the name suggest, this cafe specializes in egg dishes, but we're kinda full so, decided to try out thr BERRIES side of the shop.
Ordered smoothies, time to be slightly healthy hehe...

Mel-currant - SGD6.50
Mixture of watermelon and blackcurrant. It's like putting a watermelon in da freezer and crushing it into smoothie. But I wished the ice can be finer and da watermelon taste stronger.

Very Blueberry -- SGD6.50
This one has a heavier and richer taste, and u can taste the gritty berry seeds

Cajun Fries -- SGD8.90
This is also very nice!!! fragrant spices with crunchy fries, burst of flavors in your mouth.

The cafe has a wide range of menu, mainly western but I spot some fusion dishes. Great place to enjoy a nice meal with family and friends.

Movie Date: Benten Cafe & Ajisen Ramen @ Jurong Point

Owh yeah...more food haha

Before exam - Eat a lot, After exam - Eat more than 2 lots

Movie date with my dear "relative" Sheauwen after my finals in Singapore.
oops can't believe we didn't take photos, we used to be da most selfie-ish group :P It's always great to meet her, we would be complaining about our lecturers and school then this girl will brag about her "steady-ness" in her class LOL. Anyways, thanks to Sheauwen, I had free movie to watch woohoo! Perfect stress breaker. Besides that, we were stuffed with another universal stress breaker -- FOOD!

1. BenTen Cafe @ Jurong Point

Bacon and Mushroom Garlic Sauce Spaghetti -- SGD 12.80
Not bad, crunchy mushrooms with bacon bits.

Iced Cappuccino -- SGD 4.80

Salmon Baked Rice -- SGD 12.80
Thumbs up for this!! Salmon had a soft texture and the flavor matches well with the fragrant cheese and moist rice. Love it!

Next, our dinner at Ajisen Ramen (in Kopitiam)
Cha Su Ramen 10.90
Sorry to say but I was rather disappointed with the ramen.
The Cha-Su  was all lean meat, so it was really tough. The soup, just normal. Noodles are a bit greasy.

Aso Ramen 7.90
Spicy ramen with minced pork. Sheauwen doesn't eat pork so I had da minced pork. Like the spicy sensation but it's kinda too spicy and choking.

Watched The Amazing Spider Man 2
Love it! not the ending though, I bet many people said the same thing.

Just a short review.

The synopsis: In this sequel, again we have supervillain but this time there's two instead of one, they pretty much hate Spiderman and also wants to watch the whole world burn. On the other hand, Spiderman was dealing with issues about his father's past, trying to find clues that will explain why he was abandoned. And of course, we have the conflict between the superhero and his heroine.

My thoughts: I thought the effects were great, they shoot it with the first-person perspective (i dunno what's da jargon for that) it kinda felt like riding on the Transformers 3D ride for some reason. The quick swinging scenes, jumping off a building, things like that, it did felt real. Other than that, the story, erm....abit too rushed I suppose, I thought they could have given more story to the villain Electro, instead of just portraying him as a LOA freak, it would have made the rivalry more meaningful. Then there's a second villain, too much villain to handle in one film I suppose haha...but Dane DeHaan is adorable!!
Anyways love the chemistry between Gwen and Peter or aka Emma and Andrew LOL
I also like how Peter Parker acts like a very down-to-earth and hilarious kind of superhero, we definitely need one of these alongside all the Godly or genius ones like Ironman and Thor :D

Artisan Roast @ TTDI & Lavender Bistro @ Senai Airport

Very short post about some cafes I went sometime ago...
Better do this now coz I have tonnes of foodie moments lining up hehehe

erm but i gotta say sorry for the not-so-nice photos coming up...most of them taken in low light so yea....kinda LQ

So first up, went to Artisan Roast's HQ at TTDI
I've been to the branch at Bangsar Village 2 last year, read post here
Was craving for coffee so decided to go to this famous coffee shop. It was almost 11pm but the shop was fully occupied. And the moment we stepped in, there's only once cheesecake left! Ordered it immediately haha...

yea their business was so good that they ran out of cups
3 of us had hot mocha
It's nice that the barista was able to pull latte art despite using paper cup.

the worth-to-die-for Cheesecake by Artisan

owh ya, before an appropriate photo was taken....
anyways..
it's just delicious
super fluffy, and creamy but not sticky or too heavy.
You will love the moment when the fragrant and ice cream-like cheese melts and wraps around the semi-sweet choco layer and crunchy base.
Wish I'm in Msia now TT.TT

Next, a mini post of Lavender Bistro
It was before my flight back to Subang at Johor's Senai Airport.
Lavender was like me and my cousin's fave hang out place when we were still kids. They serve an awesome and creative range of cakes and breads and they were the pioneers to bring bubble tea into Malaysia. But as time goes by, they pretty much turned into hip and urban cafe with western food menu and delicious cakes and beverages.

Tea Latte - RM6.00
Nice!!! I would say that this is a smoother and more fragrant version of Teh C :D

Scones and Clotted Cream and Jam 8.00
fluffy scones, the jam was nice but i wished it had stronger berry flavors.

Sipping my tea, munching my scones, and watch the world goes by.
